Lots on my To Do list today and I'm relieved to say that I got most of it done, and had still managed to have a fun day. : )
Started painting the bathroom last night and finished it before noon today.
Before & Afters:
Gave macarons another shot, this time adding raspberry jam to the ganache, pink food coloring to the cookies, and whipping the egg whites until they had stiffer peaks. Result: easier to pipe (way less runny), more solid/less fragile, and sadly, still no feet! Arg! Think I'll take a field trip to Whole Foods in the morning and see a) if they sell them and b) what the professionals' are like, since the only ones I've ever had are my own!
Made my first sourdough bread. It just came out of the oven and smells great! Can't wait to try some. Plan on making some pesto to have with it tomorrow since I haven't killed the basil yet...
So, even though the day's flown by, it's been fun and productive. Bubble bath time!
Oh, and the hair is lighter. I temporarily colored it to a dark warm brown. And it's a couple inches shorter too.
That is a green bathroom! Looks great though! A baking personal day. That sounds uber nice.
