Knew we'd be too busy to actually cook dinner this week so made a BIG pot of spicy chicken soup. Used jalepeno honey rotisserie chicken, cumin, chili powder, broth, celery, carrots, sliced mushrooms, a whole can of diced chilies (uh, use half a can next time. Holy moly!), and pinto and northern beans. Yum, but HOT! Ate it all week too so evenings were a little less hectic.
Spent most evenings dropping off things to the house. The first weekend of "homeownership" was spent removing closet doors, painting closets, my study, contact-papering the bathroom cabinets, and unpacking kitchen boxes. The pantry is full of my entertaining items until we get the sideboard moved. It looks like Aunt Martha's entertaining closet. Crazy.
Repairs start on Monday. Electrician and A/C peeps are coming out and while they're working, I'll be painting. Hope to have my bricks-and-boards bookshelf (replacing w/ Ikea's Expedit shelf is not a priority right now) painted and up by tomorrow night so I can get some boxes unpacked.
Went to Target tonight, looking at shower curtains. Found what I thought would be a really nice one- a large brown pattern on white, and paired with those mirrored bath accessories (GLAM!) it'd look fabulous. Even w/ the 1960s-green tile. But when I got home to find the picture of the shower curtain, I see that it looks too floral-patterned. :-/
