So I said that I saw Star Trek on Friday. It was a fundraiser at the IMAX for the Austin Planetarium and was pretty cool. There was a costume contest (darth vadar was a contestant), a comedy group (which might have been very funny but I've no idea- sound was bad) and the Austin Wind Symphony which was awesome. I only recognized 2, maybe 3, pieces but it was great- the musicians played very well (many in costume as well) and the conductor was a joy to watch. Here's their opening.
